Swimming, boating (power and sail), waterskiing, jetskis, parasailing, windsurfing, navigation, and stuff.
...
am I the only one into this stuff?
I nearly bought a 26 foot cruiser back in undergrad, whenever I return to OKC permanently I'd definitely get something sitting in lake hefner that would be large enough to classify as a cruiser, which we could trailer and take to other lakes in oklahoma for a good time, that is, if people are interested in doing it.
Boat like the one I was getting runs around 2k or so, a wet stall has an annual fee, throw on top of that fuel if you use an outboard motor for maneuvers into and out of the docks, and any maintenance expenses. It can be a lot of fun, even on a lake like hefner.

Yeah, after getting used to larger boats, I found a little boat almost impossible to handle. I had some very embarassing moments at a resort not long ago trying to fight a sunfish which I had capsized by crossing the wind and pulling the main sheet.
There's also something much, much cooler, in my mind, about a boat that has an interior cabin. The cruiser I was looking at had room inside to sleep up to four, but no marine head or galley. If I venture for a boat, I'll make damned sure it has at the least a marine head, galley would be a plus, and at least power for fans on the interior.
Room to hang out is a big plus on a boat, it makes it less panicky, and the particular model of boat I was in was notable for it's resistance to capsizing.

“Live a good life. If there are gods and they are just, then they will not care how devout you have been, but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by. If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones.”

I like water. I like boats. My step dad owns a boat. I like to ride on it. I like to drive it. I like to be pulled behind it at 50 mph on a dinky air tube. I do not know haw to sail.
All things in moderation...Except syrup.

Never been sailing. Keara does, though it may be a thing her dad does that she just gets dragged along for.
I'm with josh, but I cap out at about 30mph now. Ahhh the joys of being old and busted.
