My mom just called me to tell me about Thael being in the hospital for pancreatitis. Apparently he had gall stones which inflammed his pancreas. He'll be going in for surgery today so they can remove the gall stones. After that the doctors will decide whether they should remove his gall bladder or not. Right now he is in a lot of pain so he can't talk on the phone for too long but everyone should definetly text him or leave a message. If you want to visit him he is at Mercy Hospital room #467, but you may not be able to visit today because of the surgery. This is as much info as i have so far, if you want any other kinds of details you can call my mom at 405-326-1919.

i feel bad for him.

i also laugh at him, as he has had this waiting for him as long as we've known him... he'd laugh too if he weren't dying

anyway, i might go visit him tomorrow or the next day if he's still in. today wouldn't be good with surgery and all.

I'm sad that this is happening to him. I hope his pancreatitis doesn't get out of hand, or any complications spring up during surgery.

For the religious types, pray for thael.

If you aren't religious, but want to help thael with a prayer equivalent, then masturbate for thael.

I'll be doing the latter.

Thael cannot have visitors tommorow. During his surgery today his heart rate elevated to 200 so afterwards they put him in the ICU. The doctors are giving him more pain meds and fluids, they think it may have been dehydration that caused the rise in rate. They also have a cardiologist on standby just in case.

My mom just called me a bit ago. Because of the infection caused be the gall stones, Thael's kidneys have started failing. The doctors are trying to get the infection under control, but until they do, other things may start going down as well. Today they are doing dialysis and will be ultrasounding his kidneys. The cardiologist will also be ultrasounding his heart and doing an echo-cardiogram just to make sure that is all good. My mom said his brother is really freaking out so if anyone has his number, maybe call and help him to chill out? The infection is serious but he should be fine when it's gone, just like a miraculous recovery in House.

I'll continue posting updates as i am aware of them.

so.

they did a dialysis treatment today, he is on morphine for painkillers, and is on/off the bedpan alot. he moans in pain occassionally, talks occassionally but is mostly lacking in lucidity, and is otherwise unconscious. his heart rate was consistantly at 130+ while i was there, his affect was mostly positive when he was conscious, and he looked generally like hell.

for those interested in seeing thael...

my advice is don't. not until tomorrow or friday, unless you would regret not having seen him in case something happens. he is delirious, in pain, and in and out of consciousness. go see him tomorrow or something, when we know a little more, and hopefully he's over some of this... or not.

just my suggestion, but do as you will. i personally feel no need to remember people at their worst when they're dead, and most likely you aren't going to make enough of a blip on his register today if he pulls through. that said, i'm going back up there at around 10 to bring him some music and hang out. he can have 2 visitors at a time.

Temple and I are in Edmond, as she insisted on coming down to see Thael. We will be around for a few days and plan on visiting our sickly gamer. We'll probabl see some other people while we're here so plan on appearances, both mysterious and otherwise.
