Round 1: Mjolnir vs The Sword of Omens
Okay, their respective entrustees aside, which of these two is top blade (or hammer)?
Mjolnir, I'm actually not all that sure about. Cheyne suggested it, and it's wielded by the Marvel God Thor, so it must be pretty cool. It has a geas on it, that only lets someone pure of heart use it (or something like that). It's done a bit of damage in it's day, and hopefully Cheyne can give you a bit more info (or just google it).
The Sword of Omens, or more importantly the Eye of Thundera imbeaded in it's hilt, was just a standard magic sword throughout the Thundercats series. It could shoot energy, and cut through nearly anything. It also seemed to be indestructable. It had a few minor problems with magnetic fields (for whatever reason) but over all it was reliable.
Then at the end of the show we got a taste of it's real power. The power to alter time and change reality. So thats pretty much it.
The battle starts with Thor and Lion-o squaring off in a field. The real battle is going to be between their weapons though.
Thor has been stripped of his godly powers and made mortal, all he has is attributes equivalent to a super human, just like Lion-o, and his hammer.
Lion-o has his niave goodness and a badass sword.
Let the battle begin.

Mjolnir can also allows the wielder to travel/stop time and travel to other planes or to a distance spot on the same planet. It can also summon thunderstorms that effect the whole planet, or just smite the wielders enemys with bolts of lighting.
I vote for Mjolnir, doesn't even account for the fact that Thor is probably a better fighter than Lion-o

Damn, this one is tough. They seem to be pretty well matched power wise. I think that Mjolnir has a bit more versatility, than the Sword of Omens, but in raw power I think the sword wins.
It remakes reality, how cool is that.

I have to vote Mjolnir... it always is ready to use unlike the sword which is a barely useful knife with sight beyond sight... great for traveling maybe but how many times was he unable to do something truly useful because he could not fully extend the sword... the hammer can be used by others as well as thor but it has a really good protection from abuse... the sword was for lion-o only as I remember although it seems to choose its owners as well but it never passed to anyone else after him so he may have to die first, not a good thing...
That which is not dead can eternal lie and with strange eons even death may die

Actually, the Sword of Omens has been sundered, and had to be remaid. To my knowledge Mjolnir has never broken. Maybe, this helps?

Yeah, without the 'Eye' the blade really isn't all that great.
I think the 'Eye' has a sentients of sorts as well. To the best of my knowledge, Mjolnir is just a really powerful hammer. Perhaps this gives the Sword of Omens an edge.
This fight is tough to call.

Okay we're at nine votes with Mjolnir firmly in the lead, so even if the tenth was for the Sword of Omens, the hammer still wins. Thus, I declare Mjolnir the official winner of the this round one match.

Alas, another mark against it. Oh well, it would seem we choose the right weapon after all.
