Reading the entire system was what got us in trouble with Exalted imo.

I want to say I actually discouraged people from doing this, but I can't recall. If I didn't, I did at least think it.

Jason's mumbo jumbo about logris or whatever makes no sense to me, someone who has never read the system. Similarly, I don't know what pattern imprint is. Given all the crap spewed forth by Cheyne and Josh for Star Wars, I will probably not get to amber on my own this week.

frankly, you don't need to. The summary:

Pattern: Walk to one of infinite realities to find cool people/places/things
Logrus: Walk across infinite realities, shoot out tentacles to other realities to bring back cool stuff
Sorcery: magic rituals that do big stuff
Power Words: magic words that do little stuff
Conjuration: make cats. That talk and kill intruders.
Trump: More efficient way of reaching across reality when you want to deal with someone/something you have experience with are a Trump Picture of.
Shapeshifting: Change shape

Attributes: You lose in direct contests with people of higher rank than you, unless you can pit an equally ranked attribute against theirs or change the attribute in question.

Bidding: Save a few points for powers, and then pick an Attribute or three that you want to try and get high. There are only four, so planning on one or two to bid on is usually best.

Patern and Logrus (story): Poles of reality, pattern and chaos. Infinite variation in between. Lots of drama as these two forces fight/interact/screw/destroy/create.

What are the 4 stats again, and what do they do?

Str, Psyche, Warfare, and Endurance?

str: hand to hand, raw strength stuff
end: stamina, regeneration
psych: will, charm, charisma
warfare: weapons, strategy

stats aren't exactly my favorite, i actually prefer marvel's line up, or 100's. But it isn't too big a deal.

If people want to redo the bid we can. I have no problem giving people a 2nd chance now that they see how things work. I like the way things turned out, but I want to make sure this a pleasant experience for everyone.

I am also altering the cost of 1 package of powers

logrus + shapeshift + amber devote is now 85pts. The cost of Pattern Imprint + shapeshift is also 85pts.

This allows people to diversify powers. Logrus does almost the exact same as pattern, but has a different feel. So if you bought shapeshift I would recommend looking at logrus.
