Sly's wartorn special forces psychopath, or Kurt Russel's speechless supersoldier of the future.
Ironically these two actors fought side by side in Tango and Cash. That movie would have been alot better if these characters had been in it.
The setting is a deserted military fortress. Rambo has been calle in to neutralize an enemy operative who has all but cut off allied supply trains into the area. The base in stocked with a load out of futuristic equipment as the Soldier has been outfitted to run covert ops against this world's millitary for an extended time frame.
Rambo is sent in with a standard load out, for his job, a bow with arrows, and his knife.
Ready...Fight!

What do you mean, 'Which Rambo'? How many freaking Rambos are there? He wasn't ever cloned. There wasn't a spin off series were he was enhanced with cybernetic parts, or given mutant powers, was there?
As far as I know there are only 4 movies. All with the same actor and the same character.I guess he gets older, but like fine wine he only gets better with age. 'Which Rambo?' indeed, for shame.

they kill each other. but first they kill everything and anything near them. they pull out combat knives and go at it.
see, here's the thing. they are the same damned character in sooo many ways. yeah, rambo didn't get the childhood hardening, and he had a little less frontline fighting. but he was hardened, perhaps more so in some ways, since the soldier never knew his own humanity until accidentally discovering it, while rambo was forced to reshape his.
skills
soldier wins in raw combat efficiency and strength/martial arts
rambo wins in stealth and traps. and he's had more movies.
i say that rambo harries the guy for days, wearing him down. then soldier finally faces him, and they fight it out. niether one will back down, and they know this will be their last battle. they are honored to be fighting a worthy foe. tired and bleeding from countless wounds, soldier still is a better fighter, but too worn out to bring his full skills to bare. rambo is experienced, but while the spirit is willing, his body wasn't a secret military project, and only tenacity allows him to ram his combat knife into soldier's guts repeatedly, even with his larynx crushed and one eye torn out. they both die, side by side. but before they do, they salute one another. it was a good day to die.
as their spirits move on to stovokor, or valhala, or wherever they go, the klingon homeworld declares a week of mourning, and the god crom shakes the earth in their honor.

That was so beautiful, baby. *snifs* I sometimes forget that your poet's soul was part of what drew me to you.
