Surpreme Court ruling on Hand Guns

The ruling was 5-4, but this means that individuals are given the right to own handguns under the second amendment.

everything seems to be 5/4 these days. conservative majority in the court is bad imo, though i don't really care about the handguns either way.
i think it is laugable though. you don't need a handgun for what these people want them for. home defense, all that. a shotgun actually works better.

what I don't understand is why they even bother... handguns are so prevalent that the ban would just make it illegal to own one and not fix the problem with their use (+17% gun related deaths in last 20 years)

So far our conserative court has rules very pleasantly. They rules terrorist supects held in cuba have the right to challange their case in american court, and now this.

Who needs guns, just get a really, really big dog..or two...or thirty four. I guarantee no one will come into your house (invited or otherwise).
