"Are you askin' me to tell you the future? Such matters are beyond me. I am a simple warrior, who seeks my purpose through battle. I have no reason to know the future. If I knew the future then there would be little point in my path. Each victory is all the sweeter because of the tension in the moment of conflict. Each test is a new thrill, only because the outcome is uncertain. So if the story were to continue here, it would leave me with little purpose, and little cause to be what I am. So I have no use of such foresight.

However, don't misunderstand. I am certain of my course, just not the outcome. For in battle to many variables exist to know with certainty. I will continue to grow, and test my strength as opportunity presents itself. I will continue to defy the gods until either they are deposed, or I am left unable to fight any longer. I will see victory or die trying. What more need there be?"

::The stag seems puzzled at first, then seems to realize something.::

"So you go on from here to challenge the gods, slay them one at a time, and stand victorious atop a mountain of their bodies! How glorious! But what of their responsibilities? What happens next?"

"You need not worry about that, there are others with me to solve such problems. I have allies who are willing and able to hold this world up, should the need arise. I am simply an instrument of the world's wrath, unfit to bear such responsibility."

::The stag's concern seems unabated, but he drops the issue.::

"I wonder, should you fall before finishing your mission, would a son of yours pick up the mantle? A daughter? Or have you no children of your own?"

"My mantle was taken up by my son, and his son, and so on, are you the same as me?"

"I have prodigy, but I do not know them. I was on a journey to see one of them for the first time when I got waylaid here. As to whether one would take up my mantle should I falter, I can only expect they would do so, should they feel so obligated. However, I do this so no other has too. I do this so the world can be a place for them to grow and prosper.

I will gladly sacrifice myself to this end, and I refuse to die until I see my task done."

::The stag reflects on this last statement with some gravity, for some time. As the rose-white orb begins to illuminate the break of day, the stag breaks from his reverie.::

"I find this concerning, and exciting! I look forward to seeing the changes to the firmament that you seem to herald. These must be interesting times. Alas, it is day, and I must rest."

::At that, the stag will slowly head to one of the larger groves, where he lays down for the day.::

Imoak nods a farewell to the creature, and heads back toward the portal to rest until such time as it can be opened.

::After resting through the day, amid the scented breezes and calm environment, the portal manifests as the rose-pink sun fades. A light glows from the tree-home in the figure of the nymph, as she channels her accumulated inner power to force the portal open.::

::You are returned to whence you came.::

[The mark Rrerrin made on you tingles with power. You may open the portal TO the fey realm from any other plane by spending: 1 rage/day and 1 constitution, per person to enter the portal. This takes 1 minute to complete, and the constitution will return after a nights rest.]
