The platemail of the deep lets you swim around, and do stuff underwater.

I want to claim the +1 mithril full plate. Mithril is the only type of heavy armor that I can wear and cast spells, and my AC is the lowest in the party. The armor would bump up my ac from 18 to 23.
Out there somewhere there is a Tarrasque eating delicious epic corn waiting to start a journey...

Yeah it makes a lot of sense for you to have it. I will take the Plate of the deep then. I also really want the sunsword, but if someone else needs it more we can talk....

Is it sad that there isn't a single thing on that whole list that I really care about? Most of it I cant even use. I guess a pendant would be okay. It gives me something I don't have. If they didn't have such a good anti-element benefit I would claim them both, and give one to my character's girlfriend, since they have the added benefit of linking the two wearers.

So I have never heard of those pendants before so I don't know how exactly they link people but they might be good for communicating between teams if when we split up.

People should take more items.

Claimed
Linked Fireflower Pendant* Josh/Aureleyon
Plate Armor of the Deep Paul/Balan
Ring of Arcane Might Adam/Vala
Mithril Plate +1 Adam/Vala
Surge Crystal Zach/Name
Ring of Mystic Fire Gid/Aura
Empower Spell Shard Gid/Aura
Amulet of Retributive Healing Jonathan/Jin

Unclaimed
Tarn's Sunblade (Paul or Jonathan)
Ring of Adamantine Touch (should go on a Melee fighter)
Ring of Nine Lives (5 charges)
Ring of Force Armor (probably going to Steven/Otho)
Headband of Int +4 (Paul/Balan?)
Headband of Int +4
Ring of Four Winds [feather fall and deflection bonus]
Linked Iceflower Pendant* (Might be good on the other ranged combatant, Zach)
Belt of Strength and Dex +2 (Paul/Balan?)
+1 Greatsword of Wounding (Any two-handers out there?)
Shirt of Bones [dr 5/bludgeoning] (This would make a lot of sense for Josh since archers are generally only hit by other ranged piercing/slashing attacks; also good for Jonathan/Gideon, since it keeps the healers up longer)
Vampire Torc (Steven/Otho?)
Scroll of Thunderlance x4

Too big to carry
Apparatus of Kwalish x2
Anstruth Harp

*The pendants provide ER 10 vs their energy type, conditional immunity to the energy type, and then have a linked effect that allows the bearers to know the location of each other while on the same plane. When both wearers are within 10ft of each other, they gain the benefit of both amulets.

Aureleyon wont be taking an amulet if someone he finds off putting has the other. This is purely an rp thing. At Cheyne's suggestion I will take the bone shirt for him, as long as there are no objections. It would basically give him more hit points which, he is in sore need of. It also means less healing on him, so he really will become more self sufficient, which is befitting his roll as a scout/flanker/harasser.

Oh, and it might be more fitting rp wise for Zach and Adam's characters to take the pendants, since the two of them already share a 'special' bond.

i would not complain about having the sunblade, however if it would work for you (paul) the melee dpser better then that is fine with me

the only concern is that it has a low crit range i suppose.
we will talk it over eh?

the bone shirt might be nice..

i intend to ride into the thick of battle with the monk and the warblade as often as they will take me so, i need more ac / def like that

a front line melee fighter without improved evasion should take the iceflower pendant, as it should allow them to survive unfortunately placed ice-fireballs from aura a little better. aura's fireball is currently 8d6, 9d6 next level, so ER 10 would take a chunk out. considering average damage on 8d6, failing a non-improved-evasion save is about 24 damage right now, 12 with a passed save. Aura will avoid nuking people at all costs, but the iceflower pendant and a high HP and reflex save would allow an agreement between the two characters that if she needed to, she could get them too.

I like the ring of 9 lives quite a bit, if nobody else is interested. It would keep aura up longer and, as of 10th level, she'll be able to pick up dropped characters with breath of life. (Breath of life heals 5d8 +1/level and, if the target has been slain within one round, and the healing from BoL brings them above a negative hp total greater than their Con, they are brought back to life and stabilized.) Unfortunately, aura still won't have anything that'll work on death effect kills, which raise dead will do but she actually never gets it. I picked BoL over Raise Dead due to it's tactical use and, combined with a quickened heal, will keep people up in a fight against something that does massive damage every turn.

Honestly, ring of nine lives belongs on someone likely to drop. Aura is rarely attacked, and has good AC and good HP. She's currently getting her deflection AC bonus from a spell, however, and can improve tempo a bit if needed with the ring of four winds, though the bonus isn't as good. The feather fall aspect is nice, but she gets wings next level anyway.

While I'm on the subject, I've decided to post aura's master spell list, both for critique and improvement purposes and for general information and planning. I may have assessed value to certain spells that don't help as much as I think they will, particularly at high levels. Also, if there are spells people want or need a caster in the party to have, I would need to know and try to squeeze them in. I made some edits recently and one or two spells might be different in the current projections. Just information here really, not all that important to this thread.

Anyway, aura currently has magic armor, a neck slot, and ring slot taken. Her off hand is occupied by a rod, and she has a non-magical small heavy mace available for the other if for some odd reason she was in melee combat. She's built as a front line caster, generally intended to be shoulder to shoulder with warriors. For the time being her best spell is long range, so she's been hanging back, but she'll soon get the close range spells she needs to stay up front and personal. If any of the items fit her that I'm not seeing, someone please say so. Thank's y'all!

I think that you should take off that dress, it inhibits your full... charisma score from showing.

I'll take the sunsword it will give me better damage since I can dual wield with it. I was actually thinking that if no one had any objections then Jonathon and I, Steven and I, or Steven and Jonathon should take the pendants since you get the effects of both of them if you are within 10 ft of another bearer and we are flanking buddies..it doubles the effectivenesspe. That being said I am already taking a lot of items so if people feel like this is unfair I am open to suggestions. Oh, I have a belt of Str +2 already so I will trade it out for the Str/Dex +2. I did take one of the headbands of Int earlier in the session since that ups my dmg output.
