I need 4-5 people to help play test savage worlds base rules. I have extra rules books, and would have a 1 to 2 game session story. I am likely going zombie attack because I want to test combat, driving, and character creation. I am up for other story request as long as they are simple. My only requirement is patience with the new system. I am running this Friday 12/18/2009. [/u]

Consider interest registered, provided it doesn't conflict with the previous interest in whatever zach runs on Fridays (I get the impression its probably not going to be ready until school is out or the new year).

honestly the book is about 100 pages of some simple rules. there really is not much to know besides this system uses 1d4 2d6 1d8 1d10 1d12. Stats and skills are rated by die code, and you get to pick a perk and then if you want some flaws to add a perk/skill/att points to your character sheet. The system is suppose to be as simple as possible. The reason I am going to do this is so people can try the creation system, see combat, and maybe some of the other rules via play.

Of note, we will probably need to end at a reasonable time, and begin somewhat early. I have prep for christmas party the following day.

I just read through the Savage Worlds book you left here, and it seems to be a decent generic system. Its actually better than the old D6 generic imo. I will play if I don't have to work. I wont know until either Wed-Thur.

I would be interested to see several of the expansion books. I think that the base system needs a few more advantages (i think thats what they are called), so I want to see what other settings provide. I also found the monster section really interesting, and wondered if their was a setting specifically for those types of characters.

Anyway thats all I've got for now.

character creation will be normal per the book, but i am not going to allow super powers and mad science. people are welcome to take faith, arcane,psionics

i found the system worked really well. People expressed wanting to play again and my next day pre xmas is tuesday. if people want we can play at 4:00pm on if not i am sure a saturday will come open in the new year
