Darth Vader as a woman, two thoughts: on the surface amusing, but then it occurs to me that she should be missing some limbs and have burns all over her body, and that puts a whole new spin on things.
Why on earth would plasma hurt Superman?
To make our country "less of an embarrassing, disgusting shithole" is perhaps even more impossible than Obama's current agenda. Though I could see a leader wanting to just give up after going to visit a Denny's/IHOP/whatever.

To my knowledge lightsabers don't actually emit radiation like a sun (at all) thus, one couldn't even scratch Superman's skin. I would concede to a lightsaber might damage his uniform however, which clearly displays their superior ability to inflict damage over most other damage types...
