honestly we need a ruling on VAP before someone buys it. If that is what i takes, then consider my abyssal to bought it after we get our aging experience.

But it is ridiculous to expect someone to invest that much xp not knowing what they are getting.

Not going to edit the previous post with this update, just going to stick it here. Siddie costs:
Costs are Unfavored/favored
Charm - 11/9
MA Charm - 10/8
SMA Charm - 12/10 (Other Celestials pay 15/13)

Oh another proposal, which we sort of used for the Gaians:

If a character masters one complete CMA, the cost of TMA charms is reduced to X xp.

X=6?

I personally don't like the alt charm costs, aside perhaps from the reduced ma charm cost for cma's. seems like if you do that, you should do it for lunars too. and what is the cost of sma's for non-siddies normally? 13 seems steep. hmm... i don't know. on second though the 11/9 isn't too bad as long as that becomes the standard for lunars too. that was my only real complaint on it.


you know...

you could set it up so that every non-solar/abyssal has a charm type (knacks, ma's, etc) that costs 8, and then their standard charm set costs 9-10.

I like that, it gives everybody something "special" that is easier for them to learn. Also when would you apply these changes?

I'd need to dig through and see if 1E Lunars had cheaper costs at all, since I pulled those costs directly from 1E Siddie costs.

And yes, it has always been more expensive for non Sidereals to learn SMAs.

A lot of this isn't decisions as much as collection. Some of it isn't for me to decide on, since I'm not running certain aspects of the game world.

and honestly the goal should be to construct the rules we want to use as a group for the games we play in.

with that in mind, people should throw in their 2 cents, and the people in charge of those aspects of the world should give (or not give) their consent.

then we should compile a list of all the changes.

and we should have weasels dance.

Like I said earlier and will reiterate here pointlessly, I want to use the alt costs for the type specialty things like knacks, sma, ect...

SMA are too powerful to make chaper. Knacks would be 8xp if we adopt the above as houserules.
