not sure if anyone cares but chet just informed me that the internet vultures have begun to peck at the corpse of lostknightsrpg.com. they want to sell us our old domain name for $99.

Uhm...why in the world would we need that old name? Unless in causes problems for this site, why should we even think twice about it? This is silly.

“Live a good life. If there are gods and they are just, then they will not care how devout you have been, but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by. If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones.”

Considering that this one is costing me a mere $15 for two years of registration, it is way-super-duper-not-worth-it.

speaking of me...I'm back...again...hopefully on a more enduring basis

I want to catch up, but looking at the amount of posted material, if I tried to back-read everything, I might never catch up to the current posts. Could someone recommend some places where I can get a general idea of what's going? And where can an old school gamer who's good at storytelling but impatient with mechanics be of help?

i would recommend anything in the black diamond stuff. just the extra perspective is helpful, even if mechanics are lacking. seeing what people want from games is nice, and your historical perspective will be especially helpful on certain projects.

cat soup in the help forums is a nice collection of odd articles. dd glory and pain was a one shot that just completed recently (2nd ed) that might play again next christmas. i'm updating it slowly to reflect what happened.

thael is in the hospital is good if you want to know what happened there.

there are several online games that we have been kicking around. two are text only games, not all that useful for a slow typer though. one is voice primarily, uses skype, and might need more players soon (mage: ascending toward awakening, story is listed up until a few games back i think). the mage game runs a bit late sometimes though, which is a drag. 1-2ish often, though now that school is starting i'm not sure what is going to happen, hopefully we will just shorten sessions or something.

everything else is just... there. dead games, games on hiatus, games being played, but mostly just games. all the people stuff is in the main forum here.
