The Dragon Emperor vs Imhotep

Post by Liquidprism »

This is the battle of the mummies. Forget clumsy, ham-handed, and fate blessed heroes. No, there will be none of those here today.

Upon a bleak plateau, an ancient ruin sits. Deep at its heart lies a book of secrets older than man. What beings would covet such a thing more, than those who had before defied the will of the world, and wrenched their own empires from the sands of time.
Imhotep, brought forth again from the underworld itself, by loyal cultists. The sacrifices have been made and his book has been found. He is at his peek, and all he need do is wrestle the tome of secrets from its bed. Only then can he truly become the next ruler of the world.
The Dragon Emperor, his soul saved from the Thousand Hells by a diligent and wicked chinese sage, has been given form. A new body was constructed and empowered with the sacred elixer of Shangra La. He has been told of the secret tomb as well, and has set forth to own it.

The two demigods meet on the open plateau, outside the ruined structure, each with a small army at their command. Only one can have the tome of secrets, which will it be? Rocky outcroppings, sparse vegetation, and an oasis around the ruins, make up the bulk of the scenery (if any one cares).

As a bonus, the Scorpion King has also been resurrected by a Anubis, and some random chinese guy with long white hair, and a soprano laugh. This chosen warrior has been set as a guard to the tome. He is in a bad mood, and has been told that if he can stop the two mummies from reaching the book, he will be given an empire, and an army to with as he pleases.

Okay...FIGHT!

I'm giving this one to the dragon emperor by only the slightest of margins. I think Imhotep and the Dragon Emperor would send the Scorpion King back the WWE with a bloody rectum, but then they would fight eachother for a thousand years locked in physical combat, dueling wits and powers, and clashing armies.

i haven't seen 3 in its entirety yet. but, from what bits i have seen (trailerstrailerstrailersallfuckingsummertrailers), i would guess that DE is a better personal combatant and magical enhancer, while imhotep is the better sorcerer. So, the question is, can imhotep keep DE busy w/minions and long range effects long enough to get the book and prevent himself from getting squished?

Imhotep actually isn't a better magic user. The Dragon Emperor has mastered the use of elemental magic. On top of that he can augment his physical form, and power by shape changing into ancient chinese monsters. He's like the Avatar meets Beast Boy, and merges with...well Jet Li.
Imhotep has his book, which gives him power over the dead, so that might give him some sort of advantage over The Dragon Emperor. Past that the original mummy has the power of curses/plagues (specifically those from Egyptian Mythos), the ability to control both sand and water (major themes in an Egyptian landscape, and The ability to himself turn into sand and flit about that way.
They are both pretty awesome to say the least. They would be cool villians for some Feng Shui Legends games. Oh wait, I'm in charge of that now...I'll get to work.
