Knights: IC-Location: Run down old house near the university

Post by Rusty »

::This very old home has been in disrepair for years and years. The owner, long since missing, has finally been declared legally dead. His home then went through a long process of civil litigation, and was just recently auctioned off. An aspiring business student at the nearby university managed to win the auction for the title to the property, but the furniture and effects were sold separately. He has been restoring the property with the help of his fraternity brothers, and was recently seen bringing large stacks of dusty books out of the home, along with some book cases, a desk, and several pieces of art and a box of antiques. At night, the building is abandoned, most of the work happening during the day, though the relevant frat house is just up the road.::

I would imagine that since the house and the belongings were passed to the state to deal with there will be a public auction for the effects, has this already occured? If not when will it be?

it has already occurred. In fact, someone used influences and it happened rather quickly, the auction was held ahead of schedule, and the new owner got the property at an amazingly low price.

**Well Fuck!!!!**
I would like to tackle the beurocracy and find out how this was expedited, information about who purchased it, information about the previous owner, catalog of said belongings, and if possible who got the books and antiques.

the student's father pulled influence to get the sale early. most of the books went to george's book store, a few went to other assorted bookstores but have already be purchased. the antiques spread out over most of the city, some of them have already been bought up as well
