Are you looking the Vampire: The Dark Ages or Dark Ages: Vampire? The second is the '2nd edition' of WW's DA material. The Quietus discipline there is closer to the modern one, though the 5th level power is still the "Diablarie in a Can" power.

where are you pulling the kuldonism from? there are like 8 versions of it in print... The two main ones that I know of are printed in the Guide to the High Clans and in Blood Magic: The Secrets of Thaumaturgy. The former has a lot more rituals in it than the later does, though I think the second mo...

I'm down. Talking about games is sometimes more fun than actually playing them.

Let's take it easy on using modern books though. I understand some things may only be in them, but there are tons of DA books with nifty things as well. All the Road of X books have some neat merits and flaws and Road-specific combo disciplines and such. There are quite a few in the DA:V core and e...

A few pivotal events in Cainite history during the late 14th and the 15th centuries: 1395 - Patricia Bollingbroke, "Tyler" diablarizes Hardestadt 1395-1413 - At some point the Vauldarie is invented/discovered/created 1405 - The diablarie of the Lasombra Antedilluvian 1413 - The apparent di...

At this point I strongly lean towards the Koldun Tzimisce Hunter guy. Enough so that I'm going to start trying to stat him up. Are you against the Additional Clan Discipline merit from Guide to the Cam? If not, I'ma take it for Koldunic Sorcerery :p As far as the 7th gen thing goes: Yes, if we are n...

I'm pretty thrilled to hear that, 'cause its the one I want to play the most :P If you ended up with any of the mystic-types, I could see that being pretty interesting. Thought 'paradigms' aren't a game mechanic in Vampire, it would still be interesting to see their concepts of things clash, even if...

I've been reading through some other DA supplements I've gotten my hands on. I'm pretty torn as to which idea I want to go with. The first concept is a Tzimisce that ascribes to the Road of the Beast's Path of the Gray Hunter (found in the Road of the Beast supplement) and is generally a very refine...

I'm still trying to decide what I think about this. Is it awesome? Is it monumentally stupid? I think my current stance is that its hilarious. I favor Exalted as a game system pretty heavily over D&D, and I favor Exalted's Creation over virtually every other game setting I've ever been made fami...

Glanced through the High and Low clan books last night, definately drawn to Lasombra at this point, probably at least somewhat influenced by the fact that I'm re-reading CS Friedman's ColdFire Triology. :P The other clan I've always wanted to play (and I think I'm showing my colors here) in the Dark...

I was glancing through some things last night. Kinda looking in the Lasombra direction right now. Maybe a petty noble who sort of pays lip service to the Church as a means to an end. I read through the Lasombra clanbook a long time ago and reading the DA entry for them reminded me of a lot of what I...

I take it from your implications then that the players will not be starting characters? That'll change some of the background planning, if so. If not, and you're just going with the 'Well, of course vampires are stronger than everyone they're going to be around' standpoint, then it isn't such a big ...
